Battle Born Boys Been Busy!!!

Wow! Our crew drew so many tags this year we barely had time to help anyone else (not the worst problem to have). 2018 was all about hunting with fathers, sons, and life-long friends. First Wes and Travis faced the August heat and smoke of the wildfires in their search of trophy Pronghorn. They both tagged impressive bucks on the same day. Kevin followed up in the second season and connected with a real beauty on the last day. Next it was muzzleloader Bull season. Wes and Travis took Stan and Rick along for support and spent ten days hunting nocturnal bulls in unusually hot, dry weather. With little-to-no rut activity, big mature bulls were hard to come by. Only four quality bulls showed themselves, and the boys brought home two of them.

Then while Stan went to help his dad on a cow elk hunt, Rick, Wes, and Travis packed into the wilderness for eight days to hunt high country mule deer. Since the freezers were already full, they set the bar extremely high and decided to pass on several quality bucks. Some of those they let go will be monsters next year. Next up Kevin, Lane, and Joe chased big mulies around unit 031 where Joe impressed everybody with his marksmanship yet again bringing home another great buck.

Stan never unpacked from the cow hunt before leaving on his own deer hunt with his two sons. He tagged a trophy buck of a lifetime, made even sweeter by the company of family. And finally, after waiting twenty four years for the tag, Kevin's son David got his Nevada Bull. Congratulations David it was worth the wait! Now it's time to get our old dogs out and chase some birds around. Happy hunting.
